March 4, 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ozark Zymurgists March Chapter Meeting Minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recorded by: Darin Dickson, Secretary<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recorded on: Tuesday 3\/4\/2025 @ New Province Brewing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Membership Attendance: 14 of 19 Present<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Darin Dickson, Doc Farmer, Randy Germann, Ken Gill, Justin Hart, David Johnson, Jason Kanak, Dave Kapple, Mike Lewis, Larry McCallister, Steve Offutt, BJ Peppers, Kevin Richter, Jessica Selby<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Guest Attendance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tim Holt (guest of Doc Farmer)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meeting was called to order at 7:07 and began with a toast from Justin Hart (Treasurer).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Beer introductions commenced after the toast.\u00a0 15 beers were introduced from 10 brewers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Motion was made by David Johnson and seconded by Kevin Richter to approve the minutes from the February 2025 Chapter Meeting.\u00a0 <strong>Motion carried unanimously.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Justin Hart presented a financial report and announced he had collected dues from 19 members.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Old Business began at 7:20\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>King for a Day: <\/strong>\u00a0Members talked about their submissions for March 15th, lots of variety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Barrel Project: <\/strong>\u00a0Doc gave an update and alerted the membership that the next swap will occur on April 5th around 10am at his place.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Big Brew Day:<\/strong>\u00a0 After John Lee volunteered New Province as a host location, Mike Lewis made a motion seconded by Justin Hart that we hold Big Brew Day on May 3, 2025 at New Province Brewing.\u00a0 <strong>Motion carried 9y\/1n<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Off Flavor Recap: <\/strong>\u00a0David Johnson gave an update with help from the first session attendees.\u00a0 Second session will be held on 3\/22\/25.\u00a0 Let David know if you are interested in attending.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Iron Brewer: <\/strong>\u00a0David Johnson reminded the membership about the upcoming categories.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>501c(3): <\/strong>\u00a0Mike Lewis alerted the membership that he is filing the paperwork to convert the club to 501c(3) status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New Business began at 7:56\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>BJCP Study Group: <\/strong>\u00a0David Johnson proposed an idea to form a BJCP study group and possible scholarship for members interested in pursuing BJCP certification.\u00a0 Please reach out to David if you are interested.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Club Festival Kit:\u00a0 Justin Hart proposed creating a club toolbox and festival kit to support future community outreach.\u00a0 Mike Lewis made a motion seconded by Randy Germann that Justin head a committee to put a recommendation for the Festival Kit in front of the membership.\u00a0 <strong>Motion carried 9y\/1n.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>March Social is scheduled at 2pm on Saturday, March 15 at New Province Brewing (King for a Day)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upcoming Events:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>King for a Day &#8211;
