{"id":178,"date":"2025-08-17T16:58:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-17T16:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ozarkzymurgists.com\/?p=178"},"modified":"2025-08-17T16:58:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-17T16:58:09","slug":"minutes-august-5-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ozarkzymurgists.com\/?p=178","title":{"rendered":"Minutes &#8211; August 5, 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Ozark Zymurgists August Chapter Meeting Minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recorded by: Darin Dickson, Secretary<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recorded on: Tuesday 8\/5\/2025 @ New Province Brewing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Membership Attendance: 13 of 26 Present (Quorum)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Darin Dickson, Doc Farmer, Marsha Farmer, Randy Germann, Justin Hart, David Johnson, Mike Lewis, Keith Linn, Larry McCallister, Steve Offutt, Kevin Richter, Jessica Selby, Alex Smith<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Guest Attendance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meeting was called to order at 7:08 and began with a toast to Jack McAuliffe from Keith Linn.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Beer introductions commenced after the toast.\u00a0 12 beers were introduced from 6 brewers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Motion was made by Mike Lewis and seconded by Marsha Farmer to approve the minutes from the May 2025 Chapter Meeting.\u00a0 <strong>Motion carried 11\/1 (Randy dissented).<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Justin Hart presented a financial report and announced he had collected dues from 26 members.\u00a0 We have $3,894.06 on hand. 18 members are also paid AHA members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Darin Dickson reviewed BotY standings.\u00a0 First Place: Doc Farmer, Second Place: Dave Kapple, Third Place: Steve Offutt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Old Business began at 7:23pm\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>OZ August Social: <\/strong>\u00a0Will be at the Fermentary in Lowell at 1pm on Sunday August 17th.\u00a0 We will also judge Big Brew Day submissions for club submission to Big Brew Day competition in Colorado.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Iron Brewer: <\/strong>\u00a0David Johnson reminded the membership about the upcoming categories.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hop Off 2025: <\/strong>\u00a0David Johnson and other members who participated gave a review of the event and our connection to Central Arkansas Fermenters.\u00a0 Fun was had by all and we would like to participate next year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tulsa Oktoberfest 2025: <\/strong>\u00a0Darin Dickson gave an overview of the event and the desire to go on Thursday, Oct 16 and come back Friday so as not to interfere with NWA\/Rogers Oktoberfest on Sat. Oct 18.\u00a0 Let Darin know if you are interested.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NWA\/Rogers Oktoberfest 2025: <\/strong>\u00a0Darin Dickson gave an overview of the last planning meeting.\u00a0 Setup will be pretty much like last year except we\u2019ll look a ton more coordinated because of our cool banner and tablecloths.\u00a0 Event is on Sat.
