Ozark Zymurgists March Chapter Meeting Minutes

Membership Attendance: 11 of 25 Present (No Quorum)

Ric Bailey, Darin Dickson, Doc Farmer, Marsha Farmer, Justin Hart, David Johnson, Dave Kapple, Mike Lewis, Steve Offutt, Alex Smith, Randy Germann

Guest Attendance:

• Meeting was called to order at 7:06 and began with a toast from Mike “Lewie” Lewis (President)
• Beer introductions commenced after the toast.  14 beers were introduced from 7 brewers.
• Motion was made by Justin Hart and seconded by Doc Farmer to approve the minutes from the April 2025 Chapter Meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.
• Justin Hart presented a financial report and announced he had collected dues from 25 members.  We have $4,194 on hand. 18 members are also paid AHA members.
• Old Business began at time unrecorded
  • Big Brew Day:  Randy Germann gave a review and said the event was a success.
  • Women’s Shelter Event:  David Johnson updated members on the event and stated that they raised around $12k for the organization.
  • Spring OZ Charity Event:  May 17th, 9-11am, NWA Food Bank
  • Iron Brewer:  David Johnson reminded the membership about the upcoming categories.
• New Business began at 7:29
  • 501c3 Update:  Mike “Lewie” Lewis stated that he is still looking for help if anyone is interested.  
  • Hop Off 2025:  David Johnson was drumming up support for a group to go to Little Rock on 7/11/25 to represent the club at Hop Off 2025.  This is a pre-prohibition beer serving event.  Ties in nicely to our Kentucky Common timing.  Might be an overnight trip.  Contact David if interested.
  • No new business from the floor.
• Education Session began at 7:50
