Ozark Zymurgists September Chapter Meeting Minutes

Membership Attendance: 15 of 26 Present (Quorum)

Guest Attendance:

• Meeting was called to order at 7pm by Mike Lewis
• Beer introductions commenced after the toast.  13 beers were introduced from 9 brewers.
• Motion was made by Mike Lewis and seconded by Steve Offut to approve the minutes from the August 2025 Chapter Meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.
• Justin Hart presented a financial report and announced he had collected dues from 26 members.  We have x on hand. y members are also paid AHA members.
• Old Business
  • NWA/Rogers Oktoberfest 2025:  At the October meeting, we need to decide if People’s Choice will be the best single brew or brewer with multiple brews allowed.  Event is on Sat. Oct 18th in Downtown Rogers.  
  • Christmas Party Committee 2025:  Holiday Celebration is set for December 7 starting at 2:00 PM at the Fermentary.  Details still need to be worked-out with FLOPS on difference regarding budget.  
• New Business
  • Officer Nominations for 2026: Nominations will take place at December meeting for voting in January.  Please consider serving in an officer role next year.
• Education Session began at 8:00
  • David Johnson gave a presentation what hazes beer.  We didn’t have the projector set up so he distributed the presentation via Facebook.
