Meeting was called to order at 7:08pm by Mike Lewis

• Beer introductions commenced after the toast from Steve Offutt.  16 beers were introduced from 11 brewers/teams.
• Motion was made by Mike Lewis and seconded by Justin Hart to approve the minutes from the March 2026 Chapter Meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.
• Mike Lewis presented the financial report stating the club had collected $450 in dues and had $3,818 in available funds.  At the time of the report we had 18 paid members for the club year.  Dues are due so pay yours now.  Please double-check that Ozark Zymurgists is listed as your primary club for the AHA.
• Old Business
  • Darin Dickson presented BotY standings through April 6th but the results are provisional since he still had some competition points to enter. 
  • Oz Monthly Social will be at Bentonville Brewing on April 18th from 1pm – 4pm (also Home Brew for NWA Women’s Shelter event)
  • John Lee from New Province Brewing presented the club with a check for $210 for participation in the King for A Day event in March.  He mentioned wanting to maybe incorporate BJCP judging into next year’s event.
  • The membership voted on 2027 Iron Brewer styles.  Q2 2027 will be Pre-Prohibition Pilsner (5 votes) and Q4 2027 will be SMASH (7 votes).  The other two quarters will be decided by FLOPS at their April meeting.
• New Business
  • A motion was made by Mike Lewis, seconded by Justin Hart that Darin Dickson head up a committee to explore the club taking over the NWA Women’s Shelter event as Justin McGinnis was interested in handing it off.  The motion passed unanimously.  Steve Offutt, James Harvey, and Justin Hart volunteered to serve on the committee.  
  • The membership discussed setting up the Christmas Party Committee.  General consensus was for the officers to coordinate with FLOPS to gauge their interest in participating before we set up the committee.  
  • The membership discussed setting up the NWA Oktoberfest Committee.  Mike Lewis offered to lead, Ric Bailey expressed interest in helping. No motion was made.
  • Big Brew Day (May 2, 2026) will be held at Ric Bailey’s house this year.  A motion was made by Mike Lewis and seconded by Randy Germann to authorize the officers to spend up to $500 on ingredients to brew the Pre-Prohibition Porter on either Ric’s or Larry’s system.  The motion also mentioned asking FLOPS to participate.  The motion passed unanimously.  
  • Keith Linn’s retirement celebration will be held at Black Howler on May 9th.  All are welcome to stop by and wish Keith well on the next chapter of his adventure!
